WilsonCooke Group Sees Growth Upon Growth

Business growth and optimisation group WCG has announced its 20% growth as its acquisition of strategic business consultancy Purple Frog and leadership team update of GAIN LINE signify its business enhancement.

The acquisition of Purple Frog increases WCG’s capabilities in marketing, bespoke development, and business consultancy. It also bolsters the group to over 30 people nationally.

Mark Law, Group Managing Director, commented:

“Our family of brands have been a long-standing and well-respected destination for any brand wanting to transform and grow for over 25 years. We have some exciting plans for the next few years, and by welcoming Purple Frog into our family, we are able to unleash a new dimension of opportunity and value for our clients across the group, both existing and new.”

Founded by entrepreneur David Finch over 20 years ago, Purple Frog has transformed brands such as Bosch, Nominet and Unipart through their in-depth strategy and insights capabilities. David Finch commented,

“Being part of the WCG will enable us to continue to provide success to our clients. Harnessing the group’s experience, we can offer more cutting-edge strategies, technologies, and talent.”

The expanded WilsonCooke Group will continue to operate in the UK from its locations in Manchester, Oxford, and London under the WilsonCooke, GAIN LINE, and Purple Frog brands.

The group’s additional growth also sees Mike Wildhood being promoted to Account Director of GAIN LINE (a WilsonCooke Group-created company) and joining the leadership team alongside Mark Law, Managing Director, Tom Mercer, Commercial Director, and Kevin Williams, Technical Director.

On his promotion, Mike Wildhood stated,

“After six years with GAIN LINE as a Project Manager, I’m excited for the next steps where I’ll be able to turn my experience into driving the growth of the business, enhancing technical partnerships, and enriching the client portfolio.”

Mark Law commented

“We are all really excited to welcome Mike into the leadership team, this is very much deserved and Mike’s valuable experience will help to drive the company forward as we look towards our growth plans for the 2024/25 year ahead. ”.

These changes mark phase one of WCGs growth plan, which will see the group target further acquisitions and look to create real value for their clients via the continued collaboration of our businesses.
